Buffalo Wild Wings Asian Zing Recipe

Rebecca
Let me tell you, I was absolutely thrilled when I finally cracked the code to recreate Buffalo Wild Wings' Asian Zing chicken wings at home. After a few attempts, I nailed the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors that make this dish so irresistible.
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 chicken winglets
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine
  • tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic crushed
  • ½ teaspoon julienned ginger
  • ½ teaspoon crushed dried red chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Crushed pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chopped cilantro leaves optional
  • 1 teaspoon chopped scallions optional

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the chicken winglets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake them for about 25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  • While the wings are baking, prepare the sauce. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, rice wine, Sriracha sauce, crushed garlic, julienned ginger, and red chili flakes. Whisk them together until well blended.
  • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the prepared sauce over the wings. Using tongs, toss the wings until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
  • Transfer the sauced wings to a serving platter. Garnish with chopped cilantro and scallions if desired. Serve immediately and enjoy the burst of flavors.

Notes

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh garlic and ginger will enhance the flavor of the sauce.
  • Adjust the Heat: Modify the amount of Sriracha and red chili flakes to control the spice level.
  • Toss Immediately: For the best flavor, toss the wings in the sauce while they are still hot.
  • Don't Overcrowd the Baking Sheet: Ensure the wings are spaced out to allow even cooking and crispiness
