Buffalo Wild Wings Ranch Recipe
Rebecca
I recently tried my hand at recreating the iconic ranch dressing from Buffalo Wild Wings, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The process was straightforward, and the result was a creamy, flavorful dressing that perfectly complemented my homemade wings and fresh veggies.
Prep Time 5 minutes mins
Cook Time 30 minutes mins
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ⅓ cup full-fat sour cream
- ⅓ cup buttermilk plus 1 tablespoon
- 1 tablespoon dried minced parsley
- ½ teaspoon dried dill weed
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
- ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
In a large mixing bowl, add 1 cup of mayonnaise, ⅓ cup of full-fat sour cream, and ⅓ cup plus 1 tablespoon of buttermilk. Use a whisk to blend these ingredients until smooth and well combined.
To the creamy base, add 1 tablespoon of dried minced parsley, ½ teaspoon of dried dill weed, ¼ teaspoon each of garlic powder and onion powder, ¼ teaspoon of black pepper, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ⅛ teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Whisk thoroughly to ensure the spices are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Transfer the prepared ranch dressing into an airtight container or mason jar. Place it in the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 30 minutes. This resting period allows the flavors to meld together, enhancing the overall taste of the dressing.
- Use Full-Fat Dairy: For a richer and creamier texture, opt for full-fat versions of mayonnaise and sour cream.
- Adjust Consistency: If you prefer a thicker dressing, reduce the amount of buttermilk slightly. For a thinner consistency, add a bit more.
- Flavor Development: Allowing the dressing to chill for at least 30 minutes is crucial for the flavors to develop fully.
- Storage: Store the dressing in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and prevent absorption of other odors.
- Shelf Life: Consume the dressing within one week for optimal taste and quality.
