Cuisine American
- 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 Flatout light wraps or flour tortillas
- 1 cup reduced-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickles
- 1 tomato sliced
- 1 cup lettuce
Heat a nonstick pan over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onions, cooking for about 8 minutes until the beef is fully browned.
Stir in the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
Lay out the wraps or tortillas:
Sprinkle ¼ cup of cheddar cheese in the center of each. Spoon ¼ of the ground beef mixture on top, then add pickles, tomatoes, and lettuce. (If you prefer crisp lettuce, add it after cooking.)
For a burrito-style wrap: Fold in the sides, then roll tightly to seal.
For a crunch wrap: Fold one edge of the tortilla up to the center of the filling. Continue folding around the tortilla in a circular motion, creating a hexagon shape.
Heat a large skillet or grill pan:
Heat a large skillet or grill pan with oil, butter, or cooking spray. Once hot, place the wrap seam-side down and cook for a few minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Air fryer option: Preheat to 375°F, then cook the wraps for 5-7 minutes until crispy and golden on both sides.
-
Don’t Overfill: Too much filling makes wrapping difficult and can cause tearing.
-
Warm Tortillas First: Heat briefly for easier folding.
-
Add Lettuce Last: Keep it fresh by adding after cooking.
-
Make Ahead: Prep the beef mixture in advance for quick assembly.
