Olive Cheese Bread Recipe

When I first tried making this Olive Cheese Bread, I didn’t expect it to become such a favorite. I was looking for something quick but packed with flavor to elevate a simple dinner, and this fit the bill perfectly. Loaded with gooey cheese and the bold, salty punch of green and black olives, it exceeded all my expectations.

Cook Time 15 minutes mins
- French Bread Loaf
- Butter
- Garlic
- Green Olives
- Black Olives
- Parmesan Cheese
- Mozzarella Cheese
- Fresh Parsley
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Using your bread knife, slice the French bread diagonally. Stop before cutting all the way through so the slices stay connected at the bottom. This is key for stuffing the filling later. 🍞
Take your softened butter and mix it with minced garlic in a bowl. This will become your flavorful garlic spread. Use a spoon or knife to smear it generously into the sliced sections of the bread. Every nook and cranny should get some love! 🧄🧈
Chop up your green and black olives and mix them in a bowl with grated Parmesan, shredded mozzarella, and finely chopped parsley. This mixture is where all the magic comes from. Stir it well so every scoop has a perfect balance of salty, cheesy goodness. 🫒🧀
Carefully stuff the cheese and olive filling into the sliced pockets of the bread. Be as generous as possible here because, trust me, you’ll want every bite packed with flavor.
Place the stuffed loaf on a piece of foil on your baking sheet. Tightly wrap the foil around the bread, leaving the top slightly open. This will trap moisture inside while allowing the top to crisp. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the edges are golden brown. 🔥
Carefully remove the bread from the oven and give it a few minutes to cool slightly. Slice all the way through and serve warm. The smell alone will make your mouth water!
- Room Temperature Butter: Make sure your butter is softened so it spreads easily.
- Olive Drainage: Pat your olives dry to avoid adding unnecessary moisture.
- Even Baking: Leave the foil top open while baking to ensure the right level of crispiness.
