Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 buns your choice of type
  • Lettuce tomato slices, cheese, and sauces (optional toppings)

Instructions

  • Mix Patty Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, and salt. Mix until well combined, but don’t overwork the mixture.
  • Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 portions and shape into patties about ½ inch thick. Optionally, chill them in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  • Cook Patties: Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, cook the patties for 6–7 minutes per side, flipping carefully. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F to keep them juicy.
  • Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the buns in the pan for extra texture.
  • Assemble Your Burger: Place the cooked patties on the buns, adding lettuce, tomato slices, cheese, and your favorite sauces.
  • Serve: Plate your burgers with fries, potato wedges, or a salad.

Notes

  • Gluten-Free Option: Use gluten-free breadcrumbs and buns.
  • Dairy-Free Choice: Skip the cheese or use a dairy-free alternative.
  • Spice it Up: Add jalapeños or chili powder to the patty mix for extra heat.
  • Herb Options: Fresh parsley, cilantro, or basil can be added to the patty mix for a burst of flavor.
