Keto Cajun Shrimp & Sausage Stuffed Cabbage

🥬 Ingredients

For the cabbage

  • 1 large green cabbage
  • 1 tbsp salt (for boiling water)

For the filling

  • 250 g shrimp, peeled & chopped
  • 250 g smoked sausage (or andouille), diced
  • 1 cup cauliflower rice
  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Seasoning

  • 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cayenne (optional)

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp Cajun seasoning

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare cabbage

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Carefully remove 8–10 cabbage leaves.
  3. Boil leaves for 2–3 minutes until soft.
  4. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Make filling

  1. In a skillet, cook sausage for 3–4 minutes until browned.
  2. Add garlic and cauliflower rice and cook 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in shrimp and cook just until pink.
  4. Remove from heat.

3️⃣ Mix stuffing

In a bowl combine:

  • sausage & shrimp mixture
  • cream cheese
  • mozzarella
  • egg
  • Cajun seasoning, paprika, pepper

Mix until well combined.


4️⃣ Stuff cabbage

  1. Place 2–3 tbsp filling in each cabbage leaf.
  2. Fold sides and roll like a burrito.

5️⃣ Bake

  1. Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
  2. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes.

6️⃣ Make Cajun cream sauce

  1. Melt butter in a pan.
  2. Add heavy cream and Cajun seasoning.
  3. Simmer 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in parmesan until thick.

7️⃣ Serve

Pour the sauce over cabbage rolls and garnish with green onions.
