Big Mac Cheeseburger Protein Bowl

Ingredients You Will Need

Ground beef 500 grams
Salt 1 teaspoon
Black pepper 1 teaspoon
Garlic powder 1 teaspoon
Onion powder 1 teaspoon

Shredded lettuce 4 cups
Cherry tomatoes 1 cup, sliced
Dill pickles 1 cup, sliced
Red onion 1 small, thinly sliced

Cheddar cheese 1 cup, shredded

Cooked brown rice or cauliflower rice 2 cups

Mayonnaise ½ cup
Yellow mustard 1 tablespoon
Ketchup 1 tablespoon
Sweet pickle relish 2 tablespoons
Paprika ½ teaspoon
Garlic powder ¼ teaspoon

Sesame seeds 1 teaspoon for garnish

Step by Step Method

Start by heating a large pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef to the pan and break it apart using a wooden spoon. Cook the beef slowly so it browns evenly and develops a rich flavor.

Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder over the beef while it cooks. Stir well so the seasoning spreads evenly throughout the meat. Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned and no pink color remains.

If the beef releases extra oil, carefully remove some of it using a spoon. This helps keep the bowl lighter while still keeping the meat juicy and flavorful.

Next prepare the sauce that gives this bowl its classic burger flavor. In a small bowl combine mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, paprika, and garlic powder. Mix everything well until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. Taste it and adjust seasoning if needed.

Prepare the fresh vegetables for the bowl. Wash the lettuce carefully and shred it into bite sized pieces. Slice the cherry tomatoes in half. Cut the dill pickles into thin slices and slice the red onion as thin as possible.

If you are using brown rice, make sure it is already cooked and warm. If you prefer a lower carb option, you can use cauliflower rice instead. Both options work very well in this recipe.

Now it is time to build the bowls. Start by placing a layer of rice or cauliflower rice at the bottom of each bowl. This creates a warm base for the rest of the ingredients.

Add a generous portion of shredded lettuce over the rice. This gives the bowl freshness and crunch.

Spoon the cooked ground beef on top of the lettuce. The warm beef will slightly soften the vegetables and make the bowl more comforting.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the hot beef so it melts slightly and becomes creamy.

Add the sliced tomatoes, pickles, and red onion over the top. These ingredients bring bright flavor and balance to the rich beef and cheese.

Drizzle the prepared burger sauce generously over the entire bowl. This sauce is what makes the dish taste very similar to a classic cheeseburger.

Finish the bowl by sprinkling sesame seeds over the top. The sesame seeds remind many people of the sesame burger bun and add a small nutty flavor.

Serve the bowls immediately while the beef is warm and the vegetables are fresh and crisp.
