Caramel Apple Samoa Bites
Ingredients:
3 Granny Smith apples
1 tub caramel dip
1 bag sweetened shredded coconut
1 bottle chocolate Magic Shell topping
Directions:
1 Wash the Granny Smith apples thoroughly under cool running water
2 Dry the apples completely with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and leave the green skin on
3 Place each apple on a cutting board and slice it crosswise into thick rings about 1/2 inch thick
4 Use a small round cutter or a knife to carefully remove the core and seeds from the center of each apple slice creating a donut shaped ring
5 Pat both sides of each apple ring dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture and help the caramel adhere
6 Spread a generous even layer of caramel dip over the top of each apple ring
7 Place a dry skillet over medium heat and add the sweetened shredded coconut
8 Toast the coconut while stirring frequently until it becomes evenly golden brown taking care not to let it burn
9 Remove the toasted coconut from the heat and allow it to cool slightly
10 Sprinkle the toasted coconut generously over each caramel covered apple ring
11 Gently press the coconut into the caramel so it stays securely in place
12 Arrange the prepared apple rings in a single layer on a serving plate
13 Drizzle the chocolate Magic Shell topping over each apple ring in a zigzag pattern
14 Allow the chocolate topping to harden for about 30 seconds
15 Serve immediately
