Simple High-Protein Steak Fajitas

Macros (approx, per serving – no tortillas)

  • Protein: 40–50g
  • Low carb, big flavor

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb flank steak or skirt steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate steak
    Mix oil, lime juice, garlic, spices. Rub onto steak.
    (15 minutes is enough — overnight is  if you plan ahead.)
  2. Sear steak
    Heat a skillet or grill pan on high. Cook 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  3. Rest & slice
    Let steak rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain.
  4. Sauté veggies
    In the same pan, cook peppers & onions 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Combine
    Toss steak back in with veggies just to warm.

How to Serve (Protein-First)

  • Over cauliflower rice
  • In low-carb tortillas
  • As a fajita bowl with avocado + sour cream
  • Straight from the pan (no judgment )

  • Choose skirt steak for slightly higher protein
  • Add extra steak instead of more toppings
