Simple High-Protein Steak Fajitas
Macros (approx, per serving – no tortillas)
- Protein: 40–50g
- Low carb, big flavor
Ingredients
- 1½ lb flank steak or skirt steak
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 large bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
Instructions
- Marinate steak
Mix oil, lime juice, garlic, spices. Rub onto steak.
(15 minutes is enough — overnight is if you plan ahead.) - Sear steak
Heat a skillet or grill pan on high. Cook 3–5 minutes per side for medium-rare. - Rest & slice
Let steak rest 5 minutes, then slice against the grain. - Sauté veggies
In the same pan, cook peppers & onions 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp. - Combine
Toss steak back in with veggies just to warm.
