Celery Green Detox Juice Recipe

A crisp, refreshing green juice made with celery, cucumber, lemon, apple, and ginger. It’s a simple way to add more vegetables and fluids to your day. While “detox” is a popular name for this type of drink, your liver and kidneys handle the body’s natural detoxification processes.

Ingredients

  • 6–8 fresh celery stalks, washed and chopped
  • 1 medium cucumber, chopped
  • 1 green apple, cored and sliced
  • ½ lemon, peeled
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • ½–1 cup cold water, as needed
  • Ice cubes, optional

Instructions

1. Prepare the produce:
Wash the celery, cucumber, apple, parsley, lemon, and ginger thoroughly. Chop everything into smaller pieces so they blend or juice easily.

2. Juice or blend:
If using a juicer, run the celery, cucumber, apple, lemon, ginger, and parsley through the machine and stir the finished juice well.

For a blender, add all the ingredients with about ½ cup cold water. Blend on high for 60–90 seconds until completely smooth. Add a little more water if necessary.

3. Strain if desired:
For a smooth, juice-like consistency, pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer or nut-milk bag. For extra fiber, simply enjoy it unstrained.

4. Serve:
Pour into a chilled glass or mason jar and add ice if desired. For the freshest flavor, serve immediately.

Tips

For a less sweet version, use only half an apple or leave it out completely. Add extra lemon for a brighter flavor, or a little more ginger if you prefer a stronger kick. If blending rather than juicing, keeping the pulp provides more fiber.

Storage

Fresh juice tastes best right away, but leftovers can be stored in a tightly sealed glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Stir or shake well before drinking because natural separation is normal.
