- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil, if browning the beef
Instructions
- Brown the beef:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and onion and cook until the beef is browned. Drain excess fat. - Load the crockpot:
Add the chopped cabbage and carrots to the slow cooker. Add the cooked beef and onion, followed by the garlic. - Add tomatoes and broth:
Pour in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, and tomato paste. - Season:
Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together. - Slow cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the cabbage and carrots are tender. - Adjust:
Taste and add more salt, pepper, or seasoning if needed. If you prefer a thicker stew, leave the lid slightly open for the final 20–30 minutes. - Serve:
Ladle into bowls and serve hot with crusty bread, rice, or simply enjoy it on its own. 🍲
